Background:
    The story thus far . . .

This Troll called Gol'Am was large for his kind, but not overtly so. What made him stand out amongst all others, however, was his intelligence. Once he reached the appropriate age, Gol'Am lead the Tribe's raids against the nearby human farming settlements. His skill in fighting and leadership in directing the usually disordered expeditions gained him loyal followers in the Tribe. When Gol'Am made himself Chief, they proved themselves useful for his purposes.

As Chief, Gol'Am expanded his Tribe's area of influence beyond several villages. All those conquered were forced to pay tribute, until there was no longer any resistance or need to attack the villages. Through vicious attacks and use of strategy, Gol'Am's forces were victorious and achieved an unprecedented unity among these separate Tribes of Trolls.

Then He came, the Most Feared One . . . Eidolon.

He gave an offer Gal'Am knew was not to be refused. Serve loyally . . . or die.

At the very least, Gol'Am still commanded over his Trolls, which branched out beyond his own elite band, to cover the entirety of his race. Gol'Am had worked hard to train his elite band. Among Eidolon's armies however, they were little more than snails. And respected even less.

All of that would change . . . In but a year, Gol'Am gained a repuation that instilled fear again, even among the Serpent Rider's army.

Outfitting his entire flock with arms and armor supplied by his 'Great Ally' Eidolon, they were ever deadly. Deadly, because of Gol'Am . . . Or so he thought. Then he discovered the secret.

One day during training exercises, a trainee had sliced deeply into another student. The blood that fell to the ground was not red. Black stained the ground, and gave off an evil stench. His Trolls were now Eidolon's. They had been changed. Their skin was harder. A knife could not easily cut through, and they were even more vicious. Controlling the others to not fall upon and rip apart the wounded student was difficult. Eidolon had turned his Trolls into monsters, and they could not even see the changes within themselves. Gol'Am thus realized that Eidolon had used him! Eidolon was subtly but surely taking over the minds of his army, corrupting their bodies . . .

Eidolon knew that even though his usefulness had ended, Gol'Am had not lost his will. In the night, the great Troll's own solders came for him. Engulfed in his own rage, Gol'Am was forced to kill his own body guards. He fled into the wild, where he had survived before. He could shore up his strength in this harsh isolation, once again.

Gol'Am vowed to avenge this final injustice . . .

And he would indeed return . . .

    Stronger . . .

General Appearance:
Bulbous (Dungeon Keeper) or stretched head (AD&D) with green (traditional) or black (Tolkien) skin. Hunchbacked (Dungeon Keeper) with long arms that dangle around his knees. Potbelly (Dungeon Keeper) or ...Ethiopian (traditional) stomach.

Be it green or black, the troll should be totally bald and his skin should have warts and knolls in little clusters.

Horns are optional and should only be put in if we use a pair of lower fangs (big, thick fangs at that).

Clothing will be limited to something like what Corvus wears (Heretic 2) in that the Troll will have a bandoleer upon which he mounts his trusty spiked bat. For pants he can either have the old brown cloth pants look or a fur skirt (no hula dancers, please).

Legs will always be pretty much the same with knobby knees.

    Now for the face:
With or without fangs, with or without horns ... doesn't matter. The teeth will always be glistening ... give him some drool. The lips should be outlined and the teeth exposed (this is where fangs would look excellent). When attacking he should open his mouth (if not already open) in mock roar. Sort of a battle cry thing. Ears stick back, not outward. Look at a few fantasy pics. Eyes are slits or pointed. Don't make them oriental or anything, that'll suck. They should pierce and could be yellow or white. Straight white or yellow would look excellent if you could pull it off without looking too cartoonish. A pair of beady little eyes (or maybe just the iris'?) would look good too.

The walking (running) animation should not be as loose as the Raven animations, by far. They should be tight but exaggerated. Try to add some bob to the movement so that it looks like he is actually landing on his feet (ala Q2 models). In other words, make Troll boy 'bound' along.

Weapons:
    Glyph
A multitrip mine. When thrown it sits where it lands for a few moments then suddenly jumps
up approximately a foot and fires four trip wires straight out perpendicular to each other.

    Claws
    Melee weapon, raking.
Tomed - Sucks life and gives to troll (a la tomed gloves in Heretic)

    Morning Star
Shiny steel ball covered in spikes, hanging chained handle. Big damage.
Tomed - Either fires spiked balls ala Dragon Claw or lobs them ala Heretic Mace.

    Earthdawn
Big mallet (Mjolnir). With mana, it causes lightning bolts to strike down and cause damage
to anyone within the troll's view.
Tomed - With a furious "TROLL QUAKE!", Gol'Am smashes the ground with an overhead
swing, causing a mild earthquake and a good amount of damage to all players within the
    immediate vicinity.
