Getting Hired by Raven
When were you hired by Raven and how did that come about?
I was hired just before Christmas. My start date was January 20th, 2003.

What is your position at Raven?
Artist.
What project(s) are you currently working on (if you can say)?
Can't say.
What is a typical workday like for you? From the mundane to the insane,
take us on a stroll through your day!
Ugh! answering this might put me on the FBI's "flag" list.
Previous Experience
Where did you work before coming to Raven?
Well I Illustrated for Wizards of the Coast- Doing everything from Magic the Gathering, Dragonlance, Dungeons and Dragons and even some Harry Potter art as well. When I wasn't painting I also taught full time as a Professor of Graphic Design/Illustration in my hometown college.
Do you have any prior experience in the computer gaming industry and/or
any game project experience with mods, etc.?
No, but I'm wicked fast.
Gaming Interests
What are some of your favorite games?
Count this as odd but I am facinated with Flight sims and even submarine sims.
What genres do you most enjoy playing?
I pretty much cover the spectrum, though I don't dig on the overly comlicated fighting games- to many impossible combo moves these days.
What's your all-time favorite game?
Depends on my mood, but I'd guess I'd have to say IL2.
What upcoming or newly released game you've not yet played are you most looking forward to playing?
A game that has my work in it! Otherwise I've been waiting forever for "Lock on" to come out.

What other forms of entertainment are you interested in?
Golf, Volleyball, Movies.
What are your favorite things to do outside the realm of computers (hobbies, etc.)?
Golf, Volleyball, Movies.
What music do you enjoy listening to?
I'm a real Soundtrack freak.
What are some of your favorite bands or composers?
Anything from a Bruckheimer flick.
Industry Insider
What advice can you give to our readers who hope to someday make it in the
gaming industry?
For my area of interest it would be to keep drawing -continuously. When you've done that...sketch some more.

Plans for the Future
Where do you hope to see yourself in 5 years? Anything you're not doing
now that you'd still like to accomplish?
Honestly I don't like to look that far ahead. I would like to see myself working in more traditional mediums, perhaps toward the childrens book genre and maybe even a little bit of sculpting.
