 Colony Wars Defence Base
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:46 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

sorbet released a multiplayer map for Elite Force that goes by the name, Colony Wars Defence Base.
Another large and intriguing map from Sorbet; Colony Wars Defence Base is an extremely entertaining space map. Set in what appears to be a Dry Dock, you can explore the outer-hull of six unique space ships, each with a pad for weapons and power-ups.
Hit Elite Force Files for more info.

 Endor Times Three
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 4:12 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

mynok's mother and Greedo were in the editing kitchen and cooked up some Endor and More.
The basic idea of this map is that it is split into three sections -- a normal Endor section, an Endor swoop race section, and a beach hangout section which seemingly has nothing to do with any part of Endor I've ever seen. Although I have to say this map gets an instant 10 for having a copy of Dark Forces 2 in the shelving unit. The general atmosphere of the Endor sections seems a lot brighter than I remember Endor ever being. This is likely 100% or at least in part due to the very bright fog that seems to cover the entire section of the map. If it was a more neutral color it would probably blend a little better.
That is all on Jedi Knight Files.

 Skin Your Ak-47
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 12:21 PM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

Avants Ak-47 skin is what it says it is. You just have to figure out if you want this particular Ak-47 skin.
The developer said he has tried to make it look more realistic.
That skin can be found by visiting Soffiles.

 Have A Nice Pool Day
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:00 PM
Category: Quake IV

I was on Quake 4 Files and they have a new deathmatch map on there called Pool Day.
This map is a remake off of the Counter Strike fy_pool_day map made by Squall. However in the Quake 4 version the feel of the map has been enhanced with a custom sky box and bigger environment to better suit Quake.
Have a good Pool Day.

 Jump Into The Rift
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 5:45 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

The featured map on Jedi Knight Files is FFA Rift(Tw) by Twarbringer.
This map uses the theme of the Chandrilla rift location to make an entirely new free for all with the same style. I always loved that location -- both the single player map and the multiplayer version -- so I was bound to love this map right off the bat. Doesn't hurt that it's not only gorgeous, but functional as well. The architecture is spot on. There are some great stone walls covered by rifty platforms, complete with the typical strange and mystical ruins that seem to serve no function. Y'know, the staple of Star Wars and so many other fantasy plotlines.
Yeap Jedi Knight Files.

 Get Some Bastir
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:21 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Lt. Cmdr. Salinga is back with one of those snazzy conversion maps. This one is a multiplayer level for Elite Force that goes by the name Bastir.
The map is based on a gloomy keep/prison atmosphere, a placed carved from oppressive mountains and bottomless chasm's. The layout is based on my favourite Quake 3 Capture The Flag map Q3CTF3. I've spent many a hour playing that map and have on several occasions started to make my own version. Finally after years of failed start maps I have created my tribute to Q3CTF3. With this opportunity I have re-arranged several key items and hopefully made the layout more open for player movement.
Go get some Bastir off of Elite Force Files.

 Shinsoku - Ryu Skinpack
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 6:47 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Here is a Shinsoku - Ryu Skinpack for Jedi Academy that.... you know what, just read this jobby:
This skinpack makes use of the Samurai model by Jimesu_Evil to create another kind of nondescript ninja-looking character. The bonus with this skin is that it is not only a stand-alone skin but it also includes a pretty cool SP species along with it. And even if you don't want to use it in single player you can always make use of it through the multiplayer species selection menu to mix'n'match which bits you want to use.
Yeah that is available due to Jedi Knight Files.

A simple sniper scope built from a combo of useful scopes found onsoffiles.com This is not a cheat, enjoy!
Might interest some snipers? The downgrab and a single screenshot is available on Soffiles.

 Some Furry Dudes
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 5:30 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Ok here is something that is not another map but instead a Wookie Pack that you can check out.
This little pack contains two of em! One is a standard Wookiee. It looks like the standard Chewbacca skin was the base, lightened, and had the belt-thingey (I forget the proper name for it) removed. The other is a desaturated and darkened version of the first version.
Jedi Knight Files is where the Wookies hang out.

 Molto Costoso
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:39 AM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

The map Molto Costoso is made for deathmatch by Chase for Soldier of Fortune 2.
It is a small map with a balcony and to be honest I had a lot of fun testing it.It is quite well made with a pool in the middle. I am liked this one so much it may be a late addition to one of the up coming Soffiles mappacks.
That level is available oer on Soffiles.

 The Fourth Surefall Map
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 1:20 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Guess what, here is another map! Personally I'm wondering when Raven is going to release some info about Wolfenstein. Ummm anyhow, Surefall4 is a deathmatch map! Here is a quote from what the reviewer had to say about the level in question:
After a long break from the Elite Force community wwazman returns with the next installment of his Surefall maps. Surefall4 is a rather interesting and refreshingly unique deathmatch map, the map consists of a large variety of areas including two structures and several out door hiding places.
That is all on Elite Force Files! Come on Raven, let us hear some Wolfenstein news...

 JSA Trials
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:35 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Yeap here is another map. This one is a clan map designed by Horato called JSA Trials and is made for Free For All.
The arena floor is adorned with a rather ornate symbol of sorts, instead of a clan logo. Therefore, one could say that this map can be used for multiple instances instead of just this clan =_,=. Honestly, I would want to use this for trials as well. It's simple, effective, and it doesn't require 200 miles of walking to get to.
Take a look at JSA Trials.

 The Box Company (Final)
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:53 AM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

Douglas Giovany released the final version of The Box Company, a Soldier of Fortune 2, multiplayer map.
This is my 3rd work as mapper, is based on a Brazilian factory, a place that I knowand that I used like an example for this work. Was a hard work to do this map, is a little squared like "Favela Rising Brazil", my first work, but has some ideas taken from "Raven Barn's" and other maps from original game.
Grab The Box Company off of Soffiles.

Capture The Flag In The Four Towers
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 1:16 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Borggamer released an Elite Force map that's called CTF 4_Towers (v1).
CTF 4_Towers is great for those of you looking to have a fragging good time! Be sure wear your running shoes when you enter this map, as there is not much around that can be used as cover....so there will be plenty of ducking and weaving as you attempt to dodge the enemy fire coming your way! There is indoor fun as well as outdoor fun to be had in this map, with a nice looking space background to enjoy.
That map is on Elite Force Files.

 Small And Decent Duel Map
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:51 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Here we go with another map. Zero Duel is a map designed for Jedi Academy and is created by Zero Ame.
You know, most duel maps that I have come across are small, simple, and generally aren't the best quality maps I have come across. This duel map is small, simple, but it does look decent.
Might be worth a downgrab so go check it out on Jedi Knight Files.

 Kowloon City
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 4:55 PM
Category: Quake IV

I just checked out Map Factory to see if they had any new maps added there and discovered a Quake 4, deathmatch level called Kowloon City.
The main goal was to create a cool looking map suitable for 1vs1 and deatmatch with about 4-6 players. Another goal was to create my own textures, I have done this in the past alot but not recently. This map however has some default q4 textures and for the rest the textures are 95% my own work.
Check that out on Map Factory.

 CTF Altar
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 10:01 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Chilla-X put out anouther map, this one is a multiplayer level that goes by the name CTF Altar.
Chilla-X has been keeping himself pretty busy, he has submitted another excellent map that has been converted from the original stock production: hm_altar. As with his other conversions, CTF_Altar has been changed to accomodate the Capture the Flag gamemode, but that's not all, it will also be playable in the FFA and Team FFA gamemodes.
That map appears on Elite Force Files.

 Chryosis Beta
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 10:11 PM
Category: Quake IV

Over on Quake 4 Files released the beta version of his Chryosis map that is designed for deathmatch.
This is a map that is mainly created for one-on-one's but can be played with a few more players and the gameplay should not get to overwhelming. Keep in mind this is a beta version and there are still a few additions that will be made to the map at a later date.
Check out some Chryosis.

 Multiplayer Map Seven
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:29 AM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

Seven is a multiplayer map for Soldier of Fortune 2 by Cuda.
This is a interesting map as it is a kind of 2 for 1 map. Certain parts are blocked depending on the gametype which is a great idea. There are also some nice custom textures so give it a go I do not think you will be disappointed.
That map is available on Soffiles.

Grab that stuff off of Jedi Knight Files.

 Station 144
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:44 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Gigon has reappeared with a multiplayer map called Station 144.
This map comes with excellent bot support, so you have no fear of being bored. Item placement throughout the map is pretty good, and effective, the only thine!g you'll need to do is stay alive. Station 144 is a fun and original map for for any Voyager enthusiast!
Time to dock on Station 144? That map is on Elite Force Files.

 Go Off World
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:25 AM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

Sometimes when you're having a crap day, doing stupid stuff you don't care for, it would be nice to go Off World and get away from it all. In this case, Off World is a multiplayer map for Soldier of Fortune 2.
A lot of work has gone into this map as you will be able to tell but I did notice that all the cosmetic doors had texture problems and disapeared from certain angles when i tested it in ver1.00. But this did not spoil the map as far as gameplay goes.
Hit Soffiles and grab Off World before it's too late.

 Futurama Robot Models
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:07 AM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Lightsource released a Futurama Robots model pack for Jedi Academy.
Overall, the entire pack is quite amusing, and I daresay I had fun messing around as the Robot Devil. If you are a Futurama enthusiast, you will too, OR DIE TRYING.
So check out Bender and the other bots over on Jedi Knight Files.

 Karin Conversion
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 11:07 AM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Lt. Cmdr. Salinga is back with a conversion of Rota's Q3A map that he calls Karin.
With the wide open spaces of the roomy levels contained in this medium-sized map, you will be pressed to find anything that will offer anything in the way of cover, so you will need to be quick with the dodging and weaving...and even quicker with the trigger if you want to be the one that walks away with bragging rights!
Have a look at that multiplayer map over on Elite Force Files.

 Elite Sniper Skin
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 10:06 PM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

MiLLe released a Elite Sniper skin for Soldier Of Fortune 2.
A skin for the sniper rifle. There are new sounds included along with a new crosshair. This one is not bad at all and certainly worth a look at.
That's all on Soffiles.

 Volcanic Fate
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 12:51 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Here is one of those maps that is based on a lava theme: Volcanic Fate.
Overall I found the architecture and overall style of the map very tasteful, and if it wasn't for the overpowering red coloring I think I would really like it. But let's just put that to my old fogey eyes. You younguns shouldn't have much of a problem with that.
That map is on Jedi Knight Files.

 Sounds Like An Earthquake
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:42 AM
Category: Quake IV

Over on Quake 4 Files there's a music mod called Earthquake by Neurological that replaces the music with some that is in a Quake 2 style.
This add-on replace all the music in the game with some my composition in Quake 2 style, also I've added three tracks on three maps, The Tank map, the Dispersal map and the Core map. The music is focused on metal/industrial with a bit of orchestral for give to the player the old skool Quake 2 feeling. Some song play all over the level, especially on maps full of enemies.
So grab some Earthquake or something.

 Run The Goauld Are Here!
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 3:48 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

commodus beamed his Goauld Skin Pack up to the Elite Force Files station. Communications from the station reveal:
This rather interesting skin pack from Commodus will add a total of eight new skins to Holomatch; four System Lords and four Jaffa. These eight skins look pretty good and are worth checking out either if your a Stargate fan or just want something new to play with.
That is all on Elite Force Files.
