Here is a Zorunda Hill Weapons-Sound Pack (patch 1.1) that is designed to beef up the sound in Soldier of Fortune 2.As a Sound-technician I could´nt help sticking my fingers in the kind of lame orginal Weapon fire-sounds that was. Even since the first SOF game I wanted more presence of a gun and really feel it. It´s hard to do that in a virtual game, but I think this is close. Good sound-system, heavy volume and you will be at War, literally! Get the goods on Soffiles.

Over on PlanetQuake4 they posted up a detailed preview for the upcoming Quake 4 1.3 Point Release. Lets take a peek at the in depth article:To design the game's new content, id Software contracted Ritual Entertainment, a company whose history with QUAKE goes all the way back to the first Quake 1 mission pack. Ritual is responsible for both new gametype and many of the new maps. The patch is much more than anyone could ask for in a free game update. During our visit to id Software's headquarters in early July, PlanetQuake4.net had the opportunity to play a test build of the 1.3 Point Release. That's all on PlanetQuake4.

Korax dropped me a email but it got buried in a pile of spam. I had to delete some 4 pages before I even saw his message. Ugh! Ermmmm anyhow the Unofficial Quake Engine and UQE Hexen II v1.13 was released on Wednesday. This time the ability to play original or missionpack is way improved, the engine by default handles totally like the original.. you don’t even have to have the POP progs and some of its models to work.. it can work now on just a vanilla H2 installation. Ive added a scaling option on the menu for scaling the console, statbar and menu sizes. More info about the update can be found in this forum post. Go grab the latest Unofficial Quake Engine.

Razzial released a skin that is A Twi'lek Top and here is what the reviewer had to say:Okay, here we have a torso skin. Yep, that's right, just a torso. It's actually pretty nice. Let's just put it this way, there really isn't a lot that I can criticize on it. I can't really criticize it, but I can sure make suggestions. First off, would be to make an outfit, because the colors in this are nice, plain, and would look good in an outfit. Get A Twi'lek Top off of Jedi Knight Files.

Go ahead and take a Holliday at a seaside park where you can DM with up to 30 other vacationers or up to 20 if you're into the team thing. This is a very nice map, based on a seaside holiday park. There are plenty of places to explore and some real nice layout makes you feel your on holiday. Check out that Holliday map. Might be a good map to go with the Beach Side Resort level (see yesterdays news). Thanks to Soffiles for that stuff.

The map is identical on both sides with a small stretch of water separating the two halves. Game types supported are elim & ctf and will host 20 players each team. Reflex released a multiplayer level that is designed for CTF gameplay and 3 vs 3 players is recommended. The map certainly does look snazzy and has a Unreal Tournament look to it all, what with the base floating in space above a planet. So check out Phase 2 over on Quake 4 Files.

Bighall Duel is a Jedi Academy map that is designed by whakoworld and here is what the reviewer had to say about it:Okay, for the main duel area, it's a square with a statue at each corner. What I don't get, is why the statues aren't all facing the middle of the square. When you're making something of even mild importance, the statues should face that place, as a point of honor and respect. But this isn't the case here. The upper level is just a small walkway for jumping around on. That's all on Jedi Knight Files.

Check out this Dalek model for Elite Force over on Elite Force Files. It certainly is cool looking from the three available screenshots.I started making this model at around the end of season 1 of the new Doctor Who last year. Since then, it's been collecting digital dust on my hard drive. In any case, with season 2 just finished up, I was prompted to go ahead and finish this thing. I primarily made this for one reason: I found out how to create the Dalek voice effect in Adobe Audition and I wanted an excuse to try voice acting it hehe. I don't think I'm as good as Nick Briggs (Who does it on the show), but I'd like to think I came close. Go grab that Dalek model or at least look at it.

Marraveur is a new lightsaber model for Jedi Academy by Earthdigger and here is a bit of what the reviewer had to say about it:Okay, the main thing about this saber is the design. Okay, that's the main thing about any saber, but in this case, it's where the most detail is. In this saber, near the blade emitter, is a rather interesting design. Okay, sure, maybe not that interesting, but it's nice to see some detail put into a saber. The other area of this model is the back. It looks something like a ravens head, or some kind of ominous animal. That's all on Jedi Knight Files.

Hey it's Frozen Bespin which is a FFA map for Jedi Outcast. There are no major theme clashes, although one or two textures are throughly out of place. It looks... 'real'. I actually get the genuine feeling of it being a snowy map. The author's gone on and used sparks of originality on certain parts, while still keeping the decent framerate the original provided. Overall, everything's well-thought out, and the author seems to have checked through the map quite thoroughly, as I can't find much which will detract from it. That is on Jedi Knight Files.

CTF Derelict is a level made for Voyager: Elite Force by SkareKrow90.CTF Derelict is a map that basically takes place in two seperate areas. When you first join the game, you start out in a small room with weapons. As soon as you spawn though, you obtain a metaphasic shield, so you are invincible for some time. You can transport out into a different area by stepping into a round circle in the middle of the room. The next area is much bigger, and it contains weapons, red and blue sides, and lots of electricity. Check out CTF Derelict over on Elite Force Files.

It's pretty small so if you're a fan of die-hard deathmatch games, this will be a good choice for you. If you prefer large maps or snipe alot, don't bother. Go get some Capturd Freight.

I'm pretty proud of the skin which is where most the realism is.. The skins are all basically variations of each other in some way. The skin comes in 3 different versions, so check out Lara Croft.

Ryoka is a Quake 4 skin of an anime girl in a bodysuit made by KDR_11k.Originally she was intended for Doom 3 but since that has no real support for user-made playermodels that exercise was pretty pointless. So I've ported her to Quake 4. The "Alt" skin is flagged as Strogg so you can use it on the Strogg team in CTF. That's on Quake 4 Files.

Quake 4 Fortress Revealed

Category: Quake IV |
So I was poking around the net looking for some Quake 4 stuff and found this Quake 4 Fortress mod site. Here is the low down in thier words as to what the mod is all about: Q4F is a modification for Quake 4 based on the popular QuakeWorld mod Team Fortress. It has most of the gameplay basics of QWTF along with a few updates and a whole new look.Q4F, like QWTF, does not have a specific timeframe or location, but does inherit Quake 4's rustic future theme. This allows for a wide variety of maps with many varying themes (powerplants, industrial zones, alien planets, medieval structures ). Every map has its own style and gameplay, avoiding the monotony seen in so many modern games. In thier recent news they had thier testers check out the first test build and they say bugs have been squashed. Check out Quake 4 Fortress and be sure to take a look at thier screenshots while your over there....

Red Rebel's Arena is a FFA level and here is a bit of what the reviewer had to say about it:The arena of the title is a very basic map, with a simple design theme. That doesn't mean it's bad though. It's the typical small arena you'd expect from a Q3 engine game, which really wasn't used well enough in JKA. A platform in the middle, four ramps leading up to it, and a walkway around the edge. And a glass roof, of course. That's all on Jedi Knight Files.

CTF USS Voyager - Assimilated is a CTF level for Elite Force. The level is an older map that has just recently found it's way on Elite Force Files. As the name already says the map is set on a half-assimilated USS Voyager. The two bases with the flags are Cargo-bays, one normal and one assimilated. They're connected by a row of partially assimilated corridors and 2 broken crew-quarters. The round corridors have a few very slight texture errors but beside that this is simply a fun CTF map which is as well perfect for assimilation matches. Take a look at CTF USS Voyager - Assimilated.
