 Circle Depths
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:02 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

The map Circle Depths was recently uploaded by Acrylyte on Jedi Knight Files. It is designed for Jedi Academy and is a Free For All level.
It's a multi-level cylinder, to be most accurate. Stepping on certain pieces of the floor launches you upward to another level. I noticed that the wall textures had some pretty bad seams in them, but otherwise, everything looked alright.
That's all on Jedi Knight Files.

 Requiem Screens
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:44 PM
Category: Quake IV

Requiem Modding Team updated their site with some screenshots for Requiem.... one of the shots there (the blue concept art), from what I read is for their other mod. The 2nd and 3rd is the Quake 4, Requiem mod, which shows the Johna's Basement map.
We're working really hard with Sebultura to release Requiem within the next couple of months. Some new stuff, lots of bugs corrected and a new map called Johna's Basements.
By the way, if you never heard of the Requiem game here is the wiki link.

 Vv Subway
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 6:56 PM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

Here is a map for Soldier of Fortune 2 that goes by the name Vv Subway. The map is geared for multiplayer and was designed by Rebel.
A new large map from Rebel. I would say this map is a turning point for Rebel as it is one of his best maps to date.
Check out Vv Subway over on Soffiles.

 USS Atlantis
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:30 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

USS Atlantis is one of those RPG maps for Elite Force that was designed by iWant Studios.
The USS Atlantis is the Official RPG-X 2 companion and is undoubtedly one of the most intricate and complete maps currently in existence for the Role-playing side of the community, not to mention the largest map out there.
Get that map off of Elite Force Files.

Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:59 PM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

joffka's level, MP Stone is the featured map over on Soffiles. The map is a train station set in the mountains.
The idea was to create a map wich is good for to play with 2 vs 2 up to 10 vs 10 players.

 Operation: Spaceport
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 6:57 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

It's not often you see a singleplayer map for Jedi Academy and Michael May has done just that with the release of Operation: Spaceport.
The map is pretty well built from what I have seen so far. There are some secret areas to explore, at least I assume there is more than the one I found...
That map is available thanks to Jedi Knight Files.

 Requiem Sanctuary
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 6:23 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Xenon_7 released a Free For All level with the name Requiem Sanctuary. Here are some words from the reviewer:
You'll notice that during this review, I didn't really point out any flaws or errors. Why, you say? Because, they'd all been thoroughly searched for and fixed before submission, which is an extreme rarity and something which makes this job worth doing - not getting to review quality maps, but seeing first-hand that there are still people who go the extra mile to make them. This is the standard everyone else should work towards, and it's really not as hard as any of you think.
Check out Requiem Sanctuary.

 Transfiguration Courtyard
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:28 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

SMoKE_89 put out a duel map for Jedi Academy that is called Transfiguration Courtyard which is an area that Harry Potter fans should recognize. Here is a bit from what the reviewer had to say about the level:
My overall thoughts on this map is that the architecture is all great (there's even a great use of caulking to keep surfaces from rendering if they won't be seen). I loved the windows, which look like the sky is reflecting off of them when you move, and there's even one of the famous moving paintings. As far as gameplay is concerned the courtyard is basically empty, save for the benches and statue in the center, so it should be a fairly playable map.
That map is on Jedi Knight Files.

Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:30 PM
Category: Quake IV

Here is a Quake 4 Weapons Realism Mod that Slayer_2 released.
This mod makes Q4 much more realistic (while still keeping the same feel to it). There are hundreds of minor and major changes, some of them listed in the read-me.
Get that mod off of Quake 4 Files.

 Quake 4 Duct Tape
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:18 PM
Category: Quake IV

Bladerunnercutter put out a Q4 duct tape mod and here is the description:
The only difference, is that this (all weapons) light mod moves with the barrel of your weapon, instead of being stationary ( fixed in the center of your screen )like the other mods. Thats it , nothing else.
That mod is on Quake 4 Files.

 Colony Wars: Beyond The Space
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:59 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Colony Wars: Beyond The Space is a deathmatch level for Elite Force that was designed by sorbet.
This map plays out much like most of the space-based DM levels that haunt Elite Force's Holomatch, but its something different with it's varied hull configurations and many hiding places.
Check that map out on Elite Force Files.

 CTF Oddspace
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:49 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Gigon released a Capture The Flag map for Elite Force that he calls Oddspace.
This is a "low-grav space map" with custom textures and custom shaders, although it has a somewhat 'CTF VOY1 in space' feel. This map has bot-support, which makes a change, although as you can imagine, bots are terribly bad at doing anything in low gravity with their terrible AI, so don't expect any help from them if you are going for the flag.
That map is available on Elite Force Files.

 Ras Nightclub Final
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:56 PM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

(I.C.E) Raslin released the final version of Ras_Nightclub, a multiplayer map for Soldier of Fortune 2.
I like inf maps, so i decided to make another one, much smaller than my last one, and quite different. This is based on a Nightclub, i made it up myself, and its designed to look like a real nightclub, i've been in plenty so i know what i'm talking about. Night goggles can be used, but are not nescessery to play properly.
Get that map off of Soffiles.

If you want a nice variety pack, then this is for you. It's good quality work, room for improvement but then again there's always room for improvement.
Those Jedi sure have a lot of Files.

 Star Wars Chronicles Revealed
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:03 AM

I was poking around and found this jedi Academy mod called Star Wars Chronicles.
Star Wars Chronicles is a Jedi Academy Modification that is being developed by the Chronicles Team since August 17th (edit: D_D of what year? O_o). The idea is creating singleplayer missions that resembles to the six movies of the saga, something that many dreamt and couldn't do so far. We count with a huge number of members that are working to provide you the best quality and pleasure. MovieBattles Team, responsable for creating the famous MovieBattles II modification is supporting us.
So check out Star Wars Chronicles..

 Pegasus-1
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 11:03 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Pegasus-1 is a multiplayer map for Jedi Academy that was released by winsend.
This map has a lot of really neat features included with it, such as moving brushes, shaders, etc, but I couldn't help but feel that the way the textures are applied makes it look a bit... garish. I wouldn't want to play this map for long periods of time, but then again my eyes are still delicate. Architecturally it's fairly decent. The lighting's not too bad, and the style is varied enough to keep you from getting bored.
Scan the Pegasus-1 for possible downgrab over on Jedi Knight Files.

 The Academy Of Tyrany
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 10:28 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Here we go off to Jedi Knight Files because Revenanten released a Free For All map called The Academy Of Tyrany.
The map is neatly done. It would probably look better if there were actual doors, first off. Secondly, the lava in the one duel room could use some livening up.
The Academy Of Tyrany awaits!

 The Tenth Doctor Skin
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 11:04 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Jonathan Kent released The Tenth Doctor skin for Voyager Elite Force.
This is the Tenth Doctor from the popular British television science fiction drama "Doctor Who". This skin includes the good Doctor's traditional brown suit and (short) long coat, as well as talking and blinking animations, and a realistic face adapted from actual shots of actor David Tennant.
That is on Elite Force Files.
