Raven has posted their own Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast website, containing tips on timedemos, changing the dynamic crosshair, using the cheats to give yourself Force powers, changing your saber color, technical solutions, and more.

Reviews can be found at ActionTrip, EpicGamer, Gamer's Hell, Jolt.co.uk, and (in German) on GameCaptain.

Ritual Working On Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force 2
Posted by William 'Phoebus' Mull at 10:10 AM
Category: General

While it's not strictly Raven Software news, it is still exciting news for fans of the Elite Force 'franchise'. A little birdy told me about this a while back, but as Section31.com reports, in the latest issue (May) of PC Gamer, it is finally revealed that Star Trek: Elite Force 2 will be developed by Ritual Entertainment and published by Activision. (Note: Section 31 states that "Ritual's resume consists of the games Alice, Medal of Honor..."; that is of course false. Rogue Entertainment developed Alice, and 2015 developed MOHAA.):
According to the article, which is loaded with fantastic looking screenshots, EF2 will continue in the tradition of Elite Force by focusing on story and character. They will also be using the Quake 3 engine for the game. Right now they are planning 12 single player levels, with between one and seven missions per level.

The story will at least in part, revolve around what happened when Voyager was sucked into the Borg Shpere in the series finale 'Endgame', just before it emerged in the Alpha Quadrant.
Be sure to check out the rest of the post.

 Jedi Outcast Dedicated Linux Server
Posted by William 'Phoebus' Mull at 8:54 PM
Category: General

Kenn Hoekstra sends word that Raven Software is releasing a Jedi Outcast Dedicated Linux Server. They called on our help in hosting the file on our Essential Files FTP server, which we're glad to oblige! Here's the disclaimer Kenn included with the file:
These binaries are released as a non-supported product. That means that LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC's technical support center cannot answer or help with any issues you may encounter with this release. These binaries have received minimal developer testing and may crash your computer or cause other undesirable effects! LucasArts makes no representation or warranty of any kind regarding: i) these binaries; ii) what may result or not result from following the suggestions contained in the accompanying "readme file"; or iii) your success in using these binaries to set up a dedicated Linux server for Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Your decision to use and run these binaries is entirely at your own risk.
Head to our Jedi Outcast forums here at Raven-Games (you'll have to register yourself first, if you haven't already) for any community comments on the game!

 jHexen and jHeretic New Versions
Posted by Jason 'FACE.UK' Sloan at 5:48 PM
Category: General

I think we can trust Jaakko Keränen on this one as he has announced the release of Doomsday 1.5.4 encopassing new versions of jDoom, jHeretic and jHexen. Here is what the man had to say:
I'm ending the beta stage for now, but that doesn't mean things are completely bug-free and stable. This version of Doomsday (1.5.4) is quite likely the most stable and polished version of the engine to date, but I still haven't tested the network code enough to feel comfortable with it. At least I believe it doesn't crash any more. Your mileage may vary, though. Let me know how it goes...
Check out the rest of the update, download it and do as the man says 'Let me know how it goes'.
