According to the article, which is loaded with fantastic looking screenshots, EF2 will continue in the tradition of Elite Force by focusing on story and character. They will also be using the Quake 3 engine for the game. Right now they are planning 12 single player levels, with between one and seven missions per level.Be sure to check out the rest of the post.
The story will at least in part, revolve around what happened when Voyager was sucked into the Borg Shpere in the series finale 'Endgame', just before it emerged in the Alpha Quadrant.

I'm ending the beta stage for now, but that doesn't mean things are completely bug-free and stable. This version of Doomsday (1.5.4) is quite likely the most stable and polished version of the engine to date, but I still haven't tested the network code enough to feel comfortable with it. At least I believe it doesn't crash any more. Your mileage may vary, though. Let me know how it goes...Check out the rest of the update, download it and do as the man says 'Let me know how it goes'.
