 Kritische Masse
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 6:18 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Lt. Cmdr. Salinga released even anouther conversion map and this time the level is Kritische Masse.
Kritische Masse, which is German, and translates to 'Critical Mass'; This is a great FFA map that took the original developer -cha0s- over a year to create using custom textures that were modified from Quake community packs. Lt. Cmdr. Salinga has taken this map and converted it for use by you, the Elite Force community.
Take a look at Kritische Masse.

 Everything Else Is Green
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 10:10 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Lt. Cmdr. Salinga released anouther conversion map and this time the level is Everything Else Is Green which is made based on Fjoggs Q3A map.
There is no shortage of fun here, and it doesn't matter if there are a bunch of you looking for a great map to play, or if it's just you and a buddy...even if you're all alone, maby it's quality night for you and your computer! This map can be played in three different gamemodes: FFA, 1v1 or as Single player, which means, it'll be a fragging good time no matter how many there are of you!
Check that map out thanks to Elite Force Files.

Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 10:32 PM

It's been awhile since we've seen any Quake 4 map releases, or so it seems. Over on Quake 4 Files there's a deathmatch level called Prison. Too bad there's no screenshots for a person to check out before grabbing the level.

Free For All Level: Zora's Domain
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 5:02 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Zora's Domain is a Free For All level designed for Jedi Academy and is based on the n64 game Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
In this recreation I made of it I included not only Zora's Domain, but Zora's Fountain, and Zora's River. I included some of the secrets like fairy fountains and that cave. Not everything though is related to Zoras. The secrets around this area I could not make because I would be creating the whole world eventually.
That's all on Lucas Files.

 Capture The Flag Level: Borg3
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 6:44 AM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Chilla-X released anouther CTF remake and this time it's of the original Raven map hm_borg3 and the result is ctf_borg3.
Chilla has taken the time to adjust the lighting and a few of the textures to better suit the environment. The map itself has an extremely good replay value, as with the others a must have if you enjoy the ctf game mode.
You can get that map thanks to Elite Force Files.

 Get The Shaft
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:50 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Shaft is a small Duel map for Jedi Academy that's made by Shadow Knight.
The interesting thing about this map is that there is no "solid ground" so to speak. You don't climb up the shaft to be the first to reach a big platform; no such platform exists. Rather you must make a stand on the small platforms, using your skills to keep from falling to what could be a gruesome death (or just a fractured tibia, if you're lucky).
Get that map off of Elite Force Files.

 Singleplayer Level: Earth Core Program
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:13 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Lt. Cmdr. Salinga released anouther conversion map for Elite Force and this time it's a singleplayer level called Earth Core Program.
Another great conversion by Lt. Cmdr. Salinga has been made available to you! This map can be enjoyed in FFA, 1v1 or Single player; No matter what mode this map is played in, you will experience an intensely fun frag-fest as you move around this multi-level, unigue looking map!
Go grab that map over on Elite Force Files.

Free For All Level: Deep In The Forest
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:30 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Vo-Jo released a Free For All map for Jedi Academy that's called Deep in the Forest.
The abundance of trees really give it an interesting atmosphere, though I must admit the textures on the huts really contrast poorly against the stock textures. Especially the hay-ish roof texture. It's far too large, and doesn't really fit the map at all. Where are you going to get hay in a jungle/forest anyway?
That is all on Jedi Knight Files.

 Multiplayer Level: Kam8
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 10:09 PM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

alcoholic released mp_kam8 over on Soffiles for Soldier of Fortune 2.
well, some of you may be familiar to this map, because it looks most like mp_kam2005. idd it does, but i made some improvements to fps and also brought DEM as gametype into the map! Also there is some more stuff e.g the truck on the road below loading hall was removed, it made the road very narrow there was also an additional short vent added in red base.
That level is available thanks to Soffiles.

 Deathmatch Level: Ice Storm
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:16 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Lt. Cmdr. Salinga released anouther conversion map for Elite Force and this time it's a deathmatch level called Ice Storm and you can get that on Elite Force Files.
This one is a good size, and will offer intense action for 2 to 4 players, any more then that is still playable, however, it can become chaotic. There is lots of fun and the potential for a flurry of encounters in this castle like building!
Go grab that Ice Storm map.

 GTKRadiant 1.5 Mapping Tutorial
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:19 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

There's a GTKRadiant 1.5 Mapping Tutorial for Jedi Academy on Jedi Knight Files that is designed for new mappers.
It’s understandable and simple enough. But please note – this is for GTKRadiant 1.5, since there are apparently some big differences between 1.5 and 1.4 They both scare me. This tutorial doesn’t cover too much, only the basics of Radiant, as well as creating a room, making doors, and applying textures. If I was a mapper, I’d at least look at this.
That is available on Jedi Knight Files.

Multiplayer Level: Azure Mountain: Alpha Station
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 5:58 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

MaceCrusherMadunusus uploaded his map-craft contest map to Jedi Knight Files so take a look at Azure Mountain: Alpha Station that is designed for multiplayer and Jedi Academy.
Each area of the map has plenty of details to make it interesting, from boxes here and there, to glowing decals on the walls, floor, and ceiling, to seemingly random pools of water. You'll never run out of things to look at, although the incredibly monochrome nature of this map may begin to make your eyes sore eventually. If you can get past sore eyes, though, the architecture, style, and mood of this map are all wonderful, and I definitely think it's worth a download (unless you're one of the aforementioned blue haters).
So go check out that Azure Mountain: Alpha Station map.

So check out 9LegYak's Heretic II Abode for info on Ogle: The Return Of Morcalavin, which is a single-player add-on for Heretic II and if you can help with some mapping, coding and or modeling then give 9LegYak a shout.  Multiplayer Level: Arth's Tribal Castle
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:52 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

If you hit Jedi Knight Files you can check out Arth's Tribal Castle that Darth Arth made for the Map-Craft contest.
The map itself is well constructed. It's got enough visual flair to keep you interested (just look at that castle!) and enough pickups to make for a decent round of guns. In addition, there seem to be quite a few good places to hide behind, so it wouldn't just be a straightforward fight. Open enough for a duel, but with enough room for a mid-sized free-for-all.
That's all on Jedi Knight Files.

 Capture The Flag Level: Camx
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 11:38 AM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

CTF Camx (v2) is a map by Chilla-X that is designed for Elite Force and is a remake of the stock EF map.
Have you ever been in the middle of an Elite Force map, and wondered...."I wonder what it would be like to face King Arthur, or Sir Lancelot and have them amazed at the power of my phaser...or maby show Merlin what real magic looks like from the tip of your pulse rifle..."? Well, this mod doesn't offer that opportunity, but it does take you back to the days of old, where chivalry reigned supreme, and disagreements were solved in the throes of battle.
Check that out on Jedi Knight Files.

Duel Map: Chamber Of The Immortal
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 12:49 PM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Shadriss released a duel map for Jedi Academy that's called Chamber of the Immortal and was made for the Map-Craft January 07 contest.
The map is a cathedral, and retains many of the typical architectural aspects that you would expect from a cathedral. Rounded arches, wood and stone work, and a domed ceiling all add to the mood and feel of this piece. Accurate lighting also helped. The map is lit entirely by torches, and as you might expect, to light this entire chapel there are quite a few of them!
Chck that out on Jedi Knight Files.

 Capture The Flag Level: DNX2
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 11:43 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

CTF DNX2 was released by Chilla-X over on Elite Force Files. The map is a remake of the Dreadnought Holomatch level for CTF gameplay.
Chila notes that the map is useless for playing against bots as they spawn on the lower levels and cannot climb ladders, however this is a very good redesign and is a must have for any CTF players collection.
Check that out on Elite Force Files.

 Quake 4 Fortress
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:51 PM
Category: Quake IV

Over on Quake 4 Files I noticed that they have Quake 4 Fortress ready for downgrab.
Quake 4 Fortress is a mod (modification) for Quake 4 based on Team Fortress. This means that it still has a similar feel and gameplay to the original game, but the visuals are altered for the most part. It also means that the game retains a lot of Quake 4's key features. Q4F's theme is one that gives a wide variety of locations. The overall themes of the classes and models will be "Retro Futuristic" (aka Wastelandish/Rustic future). This sort of feel gives us the ability to implement any sort of map theme we like.
Maybe now is a good time to check out that Quake 4 Fortress mod.

 Skin: Izhar Pen Jade
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:02 AM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Izhar Pen Jade is a Jaden reskin by Izhar Pen.
It’s a Jaden reskin, and it looks well done. Basically the author took the white Twi’lek skin, and changed the clothes so that it’s a black and jade coloring. There is nice jade embroidery on parts of the skin, and what looks like nice jade metalworking (or something like that). Basically the jade look was well done, and deserves a looking at. Oh, one little cool thing is that the author made a metal and jade arm-band-thingy. I call it an arm-band-thingy because I’m not sure if it’s a decoration, or if it’s how an artificial hand is attached, or whatnot. I just think it looks pretty cool.
Hit Jedi Knight Files and check out that Izhar Pen Jade skin.

 Columbian Village
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 1:02 PM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

Apparently The Tech took the time to try a remake of a Siffers map from 2003 and thus we can now downgrab Columbian Village.
As the title suggests this map is based on a Columbian Village, supporting dm tdm ctf dem elim inf game types and the Goldrush Mod. The map will host 32 players. This is a very nice well illuminated map with plenty of ally ways for you to explore.Well worth the download, go grab it now and give it a test.
Thanks to Soffiles for hosting that level.
