 Multiplayer Level: The Bridge
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 8:08 AM
Category: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

Sir Paul released The Bridge which is a level for Soldier of Fortune 2 that is inspired by a map from Medal Of Honor.
The map supports Dm, Tdm, CCTF, CTF, Infi, and Elim. Player supported are 30 for DM and 15 each side for team games. This is a nice open map with plenty of buildings to explore and is good for snipers as well, thats if you can get a clean shot through the fog.
Check out The Bridge thanks to Soffiles.

 Shields Up!
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 6:44 AM
Category: Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

If you need some New Shields for Jedi Outcast then hit Jedi Knight Files and grab the ones Sithmaster555 released.
Now your shield is much more pale, and is also a light blue, with an interesting ripple-like hit effect. It doesn’t look bad. In fact, it looks pretty cool to me. Even though this is for Jedi Outcast, you should be able to use it in Jedi Academy, since the games are so similar.
Take a look at the New Shields.

Happy Belated Birthday Heretic & HDB!
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:25 AM
Category: Heretic

Phoebus let me know that John Romero posted a Happy Birthday, Heretic and HDB! article on his Planet Rome.Ro site.
It's birthday time again and this fine December 23rd celebrates the birth of both Heretic (1994) and Hyperspace Delivery Boy! (2001). Both of these guys were released to the world at the very edges of the day: Heretic was uploaded at 11:30pm and HDB was uploaded at 2:30am.
So there you have it.... I'm late with the Birthday wishes but that's the way it goes sometimes. Wouldn't it be great to go back and replay games like Heretic and Doom for the first time. As great as some of these newfangled games are, they still don't outshine games like Doom, Heretic, Strife and HeXen IMHO....

 Merry Christmas!
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 6:07 AM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Hope everybody out there is having a MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Maybe now would be a good time to check out some craplava, which is a Elite Force level designed to be a bit of fun.
Chilla-X had a spare 15 minutes, and decided to put that time use by creating a map for your merriment; As you may have guessed after reading the file name, this map is designed to be light hearted and fun...so please check all seriousness and combative attitudes at the door, and enjoy this map! craplava is available in three gamemodes: DM, TDM and CTF. There are only two spawnpoints for DM and four team spawn points, so it is only good for either a duel or a 2v2 CTF/TDM.
That is all on Elite Force Files. Have a good one people! Peace out..

 Dark Force Mod (v24.3)
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 7:45 AM
Category: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Over on Jedi Knight Files you can now downgrab Dark Force Mod (v24.3).
It's time for another version of this mod! Yes, even though it was previously said there would be no more releases of this mod, here it is, yet again. I'm not complaining though. It gets better and better as it goes along. This one, as with the previous version, is lacking a strange and unique title.
More info over there of course including a list of changes and such for the Jedi Academy mod...

 Deathmatch Level Love Thy Enemy
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 2:12 PM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Lt. Cmdr. Salinga released a deathmatch level for Elite Force that has a space theme and is called Love Thy Enemy.
This one, a small space map, which is ideal for some 1 on 1 action (2 vs 2 players will work just as well) is a well made map, with pretty good textures and an excellent layout; You'll be amazed at the amount of elbow room you have in this map, along with the scenery...but don't make it a habit to stop and smell the roses, or you may find that you'll end up in second place...and on a map that sports (typically) one player on each team, second place isn't as good as it sounds...
That map is available on Elite Force Files.

 Just a Sabermod v2
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 11:19 AM
Category: Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

Sithmaster555 released version 2 of his Just a Sabermod for Jedi Outcast.
I am not too clear on the differences between this and the previous version, so here are the changes that I did notice... First off, I noticed that the blades were a light colors, and the texture of it looked different, more of a saw-like edge to it. There was a different trail added on also. I noticed that there was a bit of a line at the end of the trail, though. That brought the effect down a little, which was a bit disappointing.
Anyhow there's four screenshots of the Just a Sabermod over on Jedi Knight Files if you prefer to see what the deal is before you try.

Capture The Flag Level Orbital Station Gamma
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 11:49 AM
Category: Voyager: Elite Force

Level designer SpaZe uploaded aouther CTF map to Elite Force Files and this one is called Orbital Station Gamma. Here is some of the review person's comments on the map:
Can you and your team capture all the flags with few to no casualties? (As spawning sends you back to your spawn point, and the challenge, for you, then becomes that you have to get back to the action before your teammates are overwelmed and defeated. You'll also need to grow eyes in the back of your head to be sure that nobody sneaks up behind you as you travel the corridors of the station, which is well made and fun to play!
beam up to the Orbital Station Gamma.

 Darth Rykar Skin
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:08 AM
Category: Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

Diero released a Jedi Outcast skin that's called Darth Rykar and here is what the reviewer had to say about this debut skin:
Onto the file itself... It appears that the regularly blue skin of the Chiss has been turned into a brown or very dark tan color. The hair appears to be a solid black color, and some seemingly paintbucketed facial hair put onto the face. The clothing appears to have been desaturated, darkened almost beyond recognition, and had some lines gone over with white. Finally, some gloves have appeared to have been put on.
Check out Darth Rykar.

 The Bouncy Map
Posted by Darren 'Doom Dude' Finch at 9:10 PM
Category: Quake IV

--==Steveo==-- released a deathmatch map called The Bouncy Map which is a remake of a Quake 3 map.
I'am not into doing remakes of other peoples maps but I havent had any ideas lately for a new map layout and I thought that remaking one of ID Softwares masterpeices would be cool.
That's all on Quake 4 Files.
