Pro G Reviews Quake 4

Pro G posted thier version of a Quake 4 Review so lets take a look at what they say:The weapons are the stars of the show, with the selection being a mix from the previous three games in the series. Initially you only have the Blaster, a fairly tame hand-gun that can also fire a charged shot. It's fine for the opening sections and the mounted flashlight helps you through the early 'It's dark and there are monsters everywhere' panic. You soon pick up the Machine gun, and this proves to be the most versatile weapon of the lot. Go read the full Quake 4 Review.

Voodoo Extreme posted up a Quake 4 Review and here is a bit of it:Missions are structured into performing simple objectives like find X, kill Y, press this or that button which does something cool looking and the pacing is generally brisk. The levels themselves are somewhat linear, but offer a wide range of environments and are laid out smartly. Read that Quake 4 Review.

I landed on Darkstation and spotted that they have a X-Men Legends II Review for the PS2.One of the neatest features of X-Men Legends II was the great visual style, which used a very unique comic book cel shading style that worked perfectly for that game. Well now in Legends II you will find that the developers did even more to the visual style and really made a fantastic looking game with even more detail and even greater comic book style presentation. Hop onto that X-Men Legends II Review and have a read.

Dead Alfs Review Quake 4

Yo, like Dead Alfs reviewed Quake 4 and here is a quote from the article: The single biggest element of the game that sets it above everything else is the plot. You feel like part of something, not the uber-hero out to protect the fodder other games would called "team mates". Yes, you do things that should maybe require a full squad, but then your squadmates are doing the same thing at the same time, so you feel part of it all, and not indestructible. Take a look at that review for Quake 4.

If you jump onto ActionTrip you can read this Quake 4 Review which includes this shot of text:The game AI does a passable job with teammates attacking enemies and offering help in a fire fight, but don't expect them to be too smart. In the heat of combat on several occasions I found myself trying to get out of the way of incoming fire only to collide with a team mate that was standing behind me and refused to move. I learned to pay better attention to where these marines had planted themselves so that when we came under fire, I use them as meat shields rather than running into them. Partake of the rest of that Quake 4 Review.

Quake 4 Review On Next Level Gaming

Next Level Gaming geared up a Quake 4 Review and lets take a peek at what they think about the game:Well, I have to say I like Quake's use of the Doom 3 engine, even more than I do with Doom 3. It's not nearly as dark as Doom 3 was (which turns out among people I know, this was a negative about Doom 3), but in the places where it is dark you still have a trusty flashlight with that positional real-time lighting. The details in each level really are much better as well. Your battlefield isn't always just underground tunnels and tight spaces. Sometimes you're out in the open, the WIDE open. It's a bit linear, but most FPS games are. But it's still an impressive looking game. Especially with the NPC characters and the Strogg. The character models are extremely well done, with excellent body and facial details. Go read the rest of the Quake 4 Review.

2404 has a review up for X-Men Legends 2: Rise of Apocalypse and here is a snip from what they have to say about it all:X-Men Legends 2 is an action-rpg played in the third-person isolinear perspective made famous by the Baldur's Gate series of games (although this game is really more like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance meets the X-Men.) If you liked games like Fallout: Brotherhood of the Blade , Dark Alliance 1 and 2 or Dungeons and Dragons Heroes , then you will find this game easy to get into and subsequently master. Sharad Hett released a Jedi Academy, skin-pack mod that is called Sharad Hett's Default Jedi Replacement. Now here's a good idea coupled with wonderful execution. Sometimes you see a really good idea that just wasn't done right, even if it's a really big change. Sharad Hett's Default Jedi Replacement is the kind of small change—a modification of HapSlash's wonderful Obi-Wan Kenobi model, but now with a dramatically different head—that makes use of even a default model really fun. The map portrays what would appear to be a small portion of a waste recyling plant (my impression). The map is a FFA level designed for Jedi Academy. That's all on map-review.com.

IGN pasted up a newfangled review for the muchly anticipated Quake 4 and here is a shot from the article in question:At least the environments look good; there's a lot more color and variety than in Doom 3, and previous Quake games, for that matter. While some areas smack strongly of Doom 3, the bulk of it quickly departs from the "science lab corridor" syndrome. There are a lot of outdoor areas, for one thing (although the sky texture could look better). So check out that Quake IV Review that is four pages of information!

HVo Devoted Gamers geared up a X-Men Legends II : Rise Of The Apocalypse Review and here is a shot from what they have to say about it all:,blockquote>Another thing that really truly sold me on this game was the fact that the attention to the characters was so detailed. They have even gone so far as to allow you to change the X-men costumes to some of their classic variants. This is a small detail that is often forgotten in games today, but something that absolutely sold me on this game. Small details given a lot of attention as well as good game play and awesome story can make almost any game bearable. X-Men Legends II : Rise Of The Apocalypse succeeds in all areas. Take a look at that X-Men Legends II : Rise Of The Apocalypse Review. [Edit] By the way, if you want to read past page 1, you'll have to register. Meh.

It also has several small shuttlecraft, one of which lowers out of the shuttle bay. That is all on Elite Force Files.

XBox2News posted up a review for X-Men Legends II and here is a piece of what they have to say about it: So what about Ultimate Spiderman that is a simplification of Spiderman 2? A big part of it is the fighting/controls. The basic controls are just like Spiderman 2, however. Outside of fighting, you'll notice that web slinging has taken a step backwards. What that has to do with X-Men Legends II remains unclear... I go now for a beer and a movie.
