CTF Noon is a map for Elite Force and is made using the original hm_moon from Elite Force Holomatch.Additional pickups have been added into the map along with altered weapon placements. The author notes that the map contains 12 deathmatch spawn points and 18 team spawn points, although the map is too small for more than 5 vs 5. Get that map off of Elite Force Files.

If you ever wanted a Crossbow for Jedi Academy then Inyri Forge released one on Jedi Knight Files.Inyri has included content in this to make it more enjoyable. One is that she’s changed the firing rate in single player so that it’s slower, and more realistic. She has also included sounds for it. That Crossbow is on Jedi Knight Files.

There are plenty of machines and working overhead cranes, however fps do suffer a little, with the fps droping to the low 50's in some areas. That map is available thanks to Soffiles.

Open Letter To Raven Software & Activision

Quasar dropped me a message concerning the efforts of various Doom Community members in making an appeal to Raven Software and Activision in an attempt to get the already released Heretic and Hexen source code transferred from a highly restrictive EULA to the GNU GPL.Most of our organization members maintain GPL projects based on the Doom source code and would like to be able to extend support to these other Doom-engine games. Unfortunately, this incompatible license creates major problems. You can read an online copy of the open letter right here.

Sithmaster555 released a SwordMod for Jedi Outcast and the reviewer seems to like it....This is a small collection of saber replacements for Jedi Outcast. Yes, Outcast. If you haven’t noticed it yet, but Sithmaster555 only mods for Jedi Outcast. Why, I’m not sure, but I don’t care. Anyways, the models, as you might expect, are simple, with simple skinning that might not look really grand, but you really don’t pay attention to sabers in Jedi Outcast, because everyone’s is the same! You can find that file available on Jedi Knight Files.

Cotmall (v1.1) is an Elite Force, deathmatch level that is based in a shopping mall.I (Frits Vos) started working on this map years ago (2003) but never was able to finish it then at the time, after few years break i picked up playing Star Trek Elite Force again, (mostly under the name OLLIE) and decided to finish this map after all. The map is based upon a shoppingmall, has 3 floors, escalator's, many new models, different switches, VDL (virtual dynamic lighting) effects, and also inlcudes different "secret" passages that will lead you to other parts of the map. Elite Force Files got the goods.

Man it's time to talk about something other than 'files' for a bit..... I haven't visited Kenn Hoekstra in what seems like ages and today I checked out Kenn's World and you know what, Kenn is damned right in saying the rock band Kiss should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Good lord, why in the name of hell are they not in the Hall of Fame? Makes no damned sense to me. You tell em Kenn! *cranks 'I Love It Loud Live'*! I checked their site and I don't see Rush in the Hall either... heh. By the way, what the hell happened to the Quake 4 mods? Seems to have dried up to the point that nothing is getting released... O_o

Over on Jedi Knight Files Nalukai uploaded a multiplayer map for Jedi Academy that's called Corellian Rift of Lords (v1.1).This is a very snazzy looking little duel map. The mixture of hard edges and curves really give this map a smooth, but jagged feel. At the same time. Impressive, yes? From what I can tell, this map makes use of only stock textures, which makes the final product all the more impressive. That map is available thanks to Jedi Knight Files.

|AcE| uploaded his Jail Bus (v2.0) prefab for Soldier of Fortune II, so if yo need a Jail Bus for your map, this looks to be worth grabbing. I thought it would only take an hour or so, How wrong that was. The original version of this prefab was not very well made and a serious FPS killer. This version of the prefab has been 100% rebuilt, caulked, retextured & made into detail. I've also cut the brush count from 825 - 460. I know that's still allot of brushes for a brush model but you wont or shouldn't have any issues with FPS from this, Enjoy. That's all on Soffiles.

I won't bore eveyone with a new review for a couple of changes, but to put things shortly the swoop now works as it's supposed to, and has a couple of tweaks which are covered in the read-me. So jump on Jedi Knight Files and grab a Swoop Ultra before everybody else rides off with them all.

UK sLaVo released two versions of his UK Castle Ruins level that is made for Soldier of Fortune II.The Castle Ruins map is a huge map with thousands places to hide... A map is great for snipers and I recommend this map more for team-gametypes... This map with different shapes and an atmosphere of middle Ages giving great feeling and fun to play SOF2. UK Castle Ruins (v1.0) contains teleporters and UK Castle Ruins (v2) has no teleporters at all. Those files are available on Soffiles.

Arron Dominion uploaded his CTF Battletactic to Elite Force Files. This is a reasonably small CTF map from Arron Dominion. Surprisingly this has great potential for its size, the main area consists of multiple places to hide with a bunker in the center. Each team has every weapon available at their starting zone and can make good use of the many pickups available in Holomatch. So you might want to check out CTF Battletactic.

If you go to Jedi Knight Files, you can check out The City of Adana: Fifth District by Iniatha. The map is designed for Jedi Academy with Free For All gameplay in mind and comes in two flavors (daytime and nightime). The construction looked nice, the map didn’t look blocky. The buildings seemed fluid and went with the map. But anyways, the texture use was nice, and so was the music choice. I liked how this map was done, with a few minor details: the lighting, and the position of the sun in the skybox. With the way the map was lit you might think it was dusk, while the sun in the skybox isn’t really close to being in the sunset position. Hit the Jedi Knight Files for the downgrab.

Time to hit the Jedi Knight Files and check out a map by Ayala that is a Free For All level by the name Tatooine Nights. The basic construction of the map is Tatooine-ish, with many things indoors, or in little almost-underground hangars. There are several areas to walk around in, there’s even a little cantina to go into. I liked how it was made, because if you were on the ground, it looked like there was a city. When I say that, I mean that I wasn’t just looking into a skybox. That, and the way the map was lit was nice. Well the reviewer has more to say about the level, so why not go over there and read the rest and then figure out if you want the download or not.

Lt. Cmdr. Salinga released anouther Elite Force level. The map is called Pacemaker and is designed for multiplayer. This is a great map if you're in the mood for some FFA or Solomatch action! This map is about medium to large in size which will keep you busy as you scramble about to keep alive and hunt down your opponants! For optimum fun, this map will require at least 2-6 players, but it would seem to me that 3 on 3 would be best to get the most out of it. Check that map out on Elite Force Files.

WK Baldwin -Cable- released a Force Recon (Original Concept) skin for Jedi Academy.I would use this skin. Now, my opinions aside, let’s look at it. It’s a reskin of the Grayfox model. The character is supposed to be part of a special Jedi reconnaissance detachment. Now, I don’t know how that’s supposed to be, but the skinning work on this is nicely done. Jedi Knight Files has 12 screenshots of the skin so it should be pretty easy to decide if you want the downgrab or not.

Forward Operating Base: Junction City is a multiplayer map for Soldier of Fortune 2 that comes courtesy of Mike Hawk. This is a loosely based representation of a typical forward operating base in Iraq. I tried to keep the map symetrical for good game play. Special thanks to AcE for the crane prefab and David Berry for the M1 tank prefab. They were great time savers. That map is available thanks to Soffiles.

DeathWish released House Of Tricks (v2) which is a Free For All level made for Jedi Academy. Here is a shot of what the reviewer has to say about the map:This map is chalk full of secrets - if the name "House of Tricks" didn't give you that impression already, I'm telling you now. The author has tried to make it as interactive as possible, so be careful what you're pressing, where you're walking, or what you're swinging your lightsaber at. You never know what'll be behind door number three, or what'll explode when you hit that seemingly nondescript random button. Okay, so the buttons aren't really random, but sometimes the effects are. It keeps things interesting! Slap Jedi Knight Files and grab that level...

Pinchakko released a set of Bushido CTF Flags for Jedi Outcast, that certainly look pretty neat. These are a couple of reskins for the CTF flags, giving them an interesting new look. From what I can tell, the logos on them, which say "Bushido The Tournament" are from some... tournament (go figure) from 2005. I'm not sure if this is some special significance, or if the author just thought the logo looked cool, but either way I'll agree that they look cool. Jedi Knight Files got your flags so go get em...

cHoSeN oNe released his Jedi Academy Empire Mod (v1.01) that's designed for improving the game's multiplayer.Still, this mod is a far better alternative to JA+, on account of the fact that it preserves the gameplay of Jedi Academy (albeit with the bugs ironed out) - meaning it's a perfect choice for people who run a server and want to play Jedi Academy, instead of "Sesame Street with Lightsabers". For you server owners out there, this is a recommended mod, and I highly suggest that you give it a try. Check out the Jedi Academy Empire Mod (v1.01).

Max's Hate is a starship reskin by MaxPayne21 for Jedi Academy and here is some of what the reviewer had to say about it:In any case, this recolor of Manquesa's Slave 1, using MaxLoef's Slave 1 sounds, is meant to be the ship of the bounty hunter Max-Tex. It is colored black and red (very typical, yes?) and features the Punisher logo on the side. This vehicle was made primarily for RPG's, so if you're into those, or are a member of this user's RPG group, you may want to give it a download. It's not all that shabby looking either, so it may be cool to have all on its own. That's all on Jedi Knight Files.

uNreal Duel is a Jedi Outcast map designed by Enemy Within with duel gameplay in mind.Bottom line is, it's an arena constructed deep within a temple. The lighting, while a little bland, is perfect for the theme, and the texturing work flows almost seamlessly. The arena has a good size to it, and there's a nice area outside the ring for those who like a bit of cat and mouse. You'll also find a platform to jump up to, for those liking three dimensional combat. Get your copy of uNreal Duel today over on Jedi Knight Files.
