What is Gladiator?
The best way to describe it is as a bladematch/TheQuest mix. It just works like the normal bladematch but with a more RPG-style gameplay and lots of new features. For example, you can't just go to a shrine and get a better staff: You will go to the smith and buy it. For that, you will have earn money. And how do you do that as a gladiator? Right! Win fights! When the enemy falls, he will leave a bag with his money and remaining armor. All you have to do now is pick it up. Also, with every fight, you will become stronger and stronger - surviving longer and longer, until another mighty warrior beats you and takes your place as the gladiator. |

The three blades avaiable in the demo (maybe there will be more in the final) are: Vampire Blade: Costs: 25 GP This one is used by the dark creatures of parthoris. when you hit an enemy you will regain 1/4 of the health your enemy looses. Ice Blade: Costs: 40 GP This is a good one for cutting the enemy's head and arms off. it is often worn by assasins and rogues. Fire Blade: Costs: 50 GP This one is the blade of honor. It does a lot of damage but it will never cut an enemy's arm or head off. Also, you can choose between the two armor types of the original Heretic 2, although they are not as strong as those Silver Armor: Costs: 35 GP Armor: 30 AP Golden Armor: Costs: 50 GP Armor: 50 AP Other persons in the town, like the cleric and the smith, can be quite usefull for a Gladiator. They can aid you in many ways. Healing: Costs: 25 GP It will give your full health back and recover lost arms. Use command 'healme' near the Cleric. Blessing: Costs: 50GP It will raise your health to 150! Use command 'blessme' near the Cleric. Repairing: Costs: 20GP It will completly repair your armor after a battle. Use command 'repair' near the smith |
