Project Release
Yes it is out, download here:
ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/levels/heretic/s-u/sinful.zip

Also FileFront will have it soon too, but give them some time, they take a bit of time to transfer files over.

It's done, but you just can't get it......yet
I am done with the WAD project, but http://www.filefront.com has not posted it up yet. I will let you know when it gets uploaded. I tried uploading to 3darchives.net but it has no incoming folder so forget that for now. Meanwhile check out FileFront's Heretic section. There are some old great classic Heretic levels by Pablo Dictter and Ken Phipps. Beautiful maps to play on with Jheretic.

Release Most Likely Next Week
Yep, I will most likely release this WAD next week, if all goes well. This WAD will require Jheretic for optimal functionality but should still run fine on Wheretic. Vavoom doesn't seem to like the new sprites, but I will see what can be done about that. Forget DOS Heretic, it looks ugly under DOS and you will get VISPLANE errors along with Save Game Buffer errors. Sector size and limits in the DOS engine make modern mapping hard for Heretic. Still need to make a new title screen. Also I need to fiddle with a custom DED file. By the way, E3M6 is no longer the Frozen Outpost, the layout is pretty much the same but the level is now known as the Dark Vaults due to some texture changing.

It could be soon...
Okay all the maps are done. What is important is that I really need to test these levels out carefully. I have already had Pablo Dictter, a fellow mapper to look it over and he has given me some great suggestions. I think the levels are pretty tough, and you'll be running around too much. It shouldn't be too difficult on easy, but I may need to adjust this. I also would like to add a bit of detail here and there in some maps. I have uploaded a few screenshots of E3M8 - Influx. I also want to reshuffle some of Heretic's music tracks so the right level has the right feel. Also need to make a new title screen, customize the Jheretic DED file, change the between mission sounds, etc. Head over to the Projects to scope out the new pics. I'll report back next week.

Getting there...
Maps E3M7 and E3M6 are now fully complete and I have uploaded 20 new screenshots to the projects page. E3M8 will probably be finished this weekend and then I can go back to each level and give them a once over and implement the skill level settings. I also have to send the WAD over to some people to test.
Skill 4/5 will be hard and will require careful strategy towards eliminating enemies [lots of enemies and more cheaper enemies than skill 3, 2, or 1]
Skill 3 will be comparable to the original Heretic's skill 3 and 4 in the episodes "The Ossuary" and "Stagnant Demesne"
Skill 1/2 will be pretty easy, less monsters and different monsters in the same location eg. on skill 4 there may be a maulotaur in 1 place, but perhaps an Iron Lich on skill 1 or 2.
I also have to add in multiplayer monsters like a few maulotaurs for you and your friends to have fun with along with more ammo. E3M6 is probably the best co-op level in the pack, but all levels are co-op ready and long enough too [except level 1 which is short]
Head over to the Projects to scope out the new pics.

Additional Information
Some good news, I have given the project a name, the episode will be called Sinful Discharge. I have slightly redone the projects pages so head over to the Projects to scope out the changes. Furthermore, E3M5 is done, E3M6 is well on its way. I have even gone back to E3M2, E3M3, E3M4, and E3M9 and have added all new areas to make the levels longer and more playable. Also I have also decided to implement skill level settings. There are a ton of new screenshots so check them out.

Changes
I have tons of great news. For one the project is coming along quite well and has some new features. I have managed to assemble some all new textures using public domain freeware graphics from around the web. I have also managed to dump in some different sprites, these sprites are from Hexen. There are more screenshots on the projects page for E3M3 and E3M9. Regretfully, E3M3 got deleted, however, since it wasn't the map I made it doesn't really matter, I have made a new one and it is completed as well E3M4 is done. E3M9 is about half way there and should be done by the end of the weekend. Some of the levels have different names and have updated information. Head over to the Projects to scope out the changes. Also, progress will slow this week since I have midterm exams, but everything else is coming along well.
