The ZonE - A Multiplayer Modification for HereticII

Description
The ZonE is a multiplayer mod for H2 that brings together two simple games. There is a game of IT and the ZonE. The ZonE is based on the classic King-Of-The-Hill type gameplay. There is only one aim to this game - find the ZonE and stay there. One frag is awarded for a pre-defined time that you manage to stay in the ZonE. If you are clever enough to hold the ZonE for an extended period, you will be awarded a bonus frag, and your health and manna will be topped up to full. Points are no longer awarded for killing your enemies (afterall, killing is BAD !!), but you must be brutal if you are to remain the sole occupant of the ZonE.

The ZonE should be fun for both blade and all-weapons gameplay, and additionally will make for a great teamplay experience. Also, as there are no rules, the ZonE should be llama free !

Features and Techie Stuff
The ZonE is a server-side modification, which means that all you've got to do if you want to play is jump on a server running the mod. You will need to download the new maps designed specifically for the mod. To speed things up, all ZonE maps will be available for download here once I have finished testing.

If you want to run a ZonE server, you will need to download and install the server files and the maps. I have coded the gamex86.dll to be fully compatible with existing blade and deathmatch maps. This means that you can run ZonE maps alongside normal maps, allowing server admins greater flexibility in their map rotations. The ZonE gameplay mode will only kick-in when a map designed specifically for the ZonE is loaded.

In addition to the new scoring system, the ZonE features a fully working trigger_push entity and an altered status bar that gives a visual indication of when you are in the ZonE, and counts-down the time until you get your frag.

The time period that the player must occupy the ZonE to receive a frag, and the number of consecutive frags that the player must score to receive a bonus are defined by two new server controlled variables - fragdelay and bonus. Players can view this information at any time by typing zoneinfo at the console

I have finally decided on the map specifications for those people who want to make new maps for the zone. If you want to start mapping for it now, details are here.
