 Underhalls

o straight down the hall, downstairs to a hall leading left and right. Go right into the sewers where a humped staircase is on the left and a barred tube on the right (Image 1). Take the stairs on the left across, then walk along the ledge over the water, going under the staircase, around right to an area with four tubes and a wheel straight ahead (Image 2). Go to the wheel and turn it to open the first tube on the right as you entered this area (2nd tube on left standing at wheel and facing 4 tubes). Enter the open tube and fall down to the lower sewers.

    Go to the halfway point toward the low archway, turn left and go to the wheel, turning it to open a tube in the main upper sewers (Image 3). Go through the low archway (left from the wheel) and follow the tunnels to a room with a lava pit. Climb the staircase around the pit to its top, then follow the long hallway right, all the way up to a wooden door. Enter a room with imps and three other exits (Image 4).

    Take the exit straight ahead with the Tome of Power. At the dead end, hit the wall to the left with the chain on it and it will open. Go through the passage, upstairs into the hall, turn left and go past the steps to the main upper sewers. Jump into the newly unbarred tube on the right and follow it to an area with imps and stairs to the left. Climb the stairs, jump across to the opposite ledge to get the Prybar (Image 5), then jump back to the stairs and go straight and left to the second entrance to Tower of the Dark Mage, enter.

    Come up through the barred exit in the floor of the spiral staircase room. Go upstairs to the third door on the left and enter, coming to a chasm on the right and planks barring an alcove on the left (Image 6). Break the planks and chop the left side of the bridge mechanism to extend the bridge. Use boots of speed or just dash across the bridge; you have about four seconds before it retracts. The skull button on the other side extends the bridge as well (Image 7).

    Enter the room left and go up the ramp (notice the caged spiders under the ramp), then through the door, up the ramp, cross the room, up another ramp into the Mage's bedroom. Break out the red mural (Image 8) to get the Gold Sphere. Exit and return to the cage below the ramp which is now open. Enter, go down the ramp to the red teleporter and transport to the ledge over the spiral staircase.

    Jump down from the ledge to the spiral staircase. Go downstairs to the middle/second door to return to the courtyard. Go up to the room and back through the hole in the wall, taking the lift to the Mage Lab again. Place the Gold Sphere behind his chair (Image 9) and then go to the arched iron door to the left of the teleporter. Take the lift down and move the bookcase set into the wall (if you find anything, cool!). Leave the hidden room and go left around the ledge (Image 10) past the room below, to a hidden alcove at the end of the ledge with an Icon of Defender and combined mana (Image 11/Secret #1).

    Return on the ledge to where it drops off into a room below and jump down. Enter the Mage's study through the doorway and collect the Tome of Power and other goodies, then press the book on the pair of shelves in the upper right corner to get another goodie (Image 12/Secret #2) (the button keeps you from being locked behind the shelves).

    Leave the study the only way you can, through the small downstairs room and left through the wooden door. Break out the windows along the hallway for more goodies (Secret #3), take a right at the end of the hallway, returning to the spiral staircase. Go up the stairs to the first door on the left, through the courtyard, up to the room, through the hole in the wall and up the lift to the Mage's Lab again. Step through the teleporter on the floor in front of his desk and teleport to an area with a statue (Image 13).

    Topple the statue by striking the front left corner (step back!), then grab the Ring of Flight. Quickly fly up, grab the goodies on the ledges, the Mage's Tome, and then fly through the high red teleporter into the spiral staircase area. Now fly to the top of the spiral staircase room to get the goodies on the high ledge if you missed the secret caged spider area across the bridge (Secret #4/Image 14).

    NOTE: Rings of Flight always respawn, so you can grab the ring again if you run out of flying power. Drop (or fly) to the floor and go through the exit in the floor (Image 15). Return to the entrance to the Underhalls and enter. Go downstairs, left, and follow the tube until you drop down into the water. Turn the wheel on the right to get an Icon of Defender (Secret #5/Image 16).

    Swim up through the hole on the left of the Icon's tube (closest one) into the torture chamber. Open one cell door and the wall to the right will break (Image 17). Chop at the "help" on the wall to your left in the adjoining cell to find a Krater of Might (Secret #6).

    Climb the stairs to leave the torture chamber and return to the room with the pedestal in its center. Place the Mage's Tome on the pedestal and the entrance to Eidelon's ordeal will open behind the steel mural (Image 18). Enter.
